Welcome to Little Falls Public School! What a great place to be! On behalf of our entire school staff, we are excited to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year.
At Little Falls, we pride ourselves in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students have a supportive space to learn and grow. This year, we will be serving approximately 450 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6. We believe that learning is a responsibility shared by the school, students, home and the greater community. Our focus remains squarely on our students, and working towards the key priorities outlined in the new Avon Maitland District School Board Strategic Plan, related to the pillars – I Am Well, I Am Prepared, and I Am Engaged. We will support the development of positive character attributes, support student mental health and wellbeing, and also support the academic program in our school to ensure all students are working to their full potential. We are excited to continue to grow our community connections as each of our classrooms have the opportunity to extend their learning outdoors and use our natural world as an extension of their classroom.
We have a wonderfully active Parent Community. Our School Council has dedicated great time and effort to raise funds so that our students are provided with a wide variety of extended technological and academic opportunities. Our School Council has fundraised to allow our students to participate in the Kiwanis Music Festival, for school performances, student planners, class trips, swimming, skating, technology, outdoor equipment and classroom resources. We are so fortunate to have an amazing group of dedicated families.
We are pleased to share that the school is once again able to host parents and community partners to support our daily programs and excursions. If you would like to join our Little Falls volunteer community, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or the office staff. We require a current Vulnerable Sector check from all individuals hoping to volunteer in the school. Please refer to the Stratford Police Services police records check website for more information about completing the check online.
Whether you are new to Little Falls this year or you have shared your children with us for many years, thank you! We are privileged to have the opportunity to learn and grow with your children each day.
We are looking forward to a great year!
